Steve The Greek Removals Ltd ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described below. We are based at 230 Belsize Rd, London NW6 4BT. You can reach us at hello@stevethegreek.com or 07539 548967.

What we collect

• Quote and booking data — the addresses, dates, inventory, access details and contact information you enter into our quote tool.
• Account data — if you create an account: your name, email, phone and password (stored only as a hash we cannot reverse).
• Payment data — handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
• Operational data — vehicle tracking during your job, proof of delivery photos and signatures, and any damage reports.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and the pages you viewed, used to keep the site secure and working.

Why we use it

• To produce your quote and carry out your move — our contract with you.
• To keep records required by law, including VAT records and waste transfer notes — a legal obligation.
• To protect the business against fraud, disputes and insurance claims — our legitimate interest.
• To send you marketing, only where you have asked us to — your consent, withdrawable at any time.

Cookies

We set only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to hold your quote as you fill it in. Analytics cookies are off until you turn them on in the banner. Declining costs you nothing — every part of this site works without them.

Who we share it with

Our payment processor, our insurers where a claim is made, and — where you have used our address lookup — the free UK postcode service postcodes.io, which receives only the partial postcode you type. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever, and we do not pass it to marketing networks.

How long we keep it

Quotes that never became bookings are deleted after 24 months. Booking, invoice and tax records are kept for six years, as HMRC requires. Vehicle tracking data is deleted after 90 days. Proof of delivery is kept for the life of the insurance claim window.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, object to processing, or ask for it in a portable format. Email hello@stevethegreek.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, payment details never touch our servers, and access to customer records is limited to staff who need it for their job and logged when used.
